Our 2014 Village Calendar is back from the printers and they look great. For 2014 the calendar will be in an A4 format and selling at £6 a copy.
These will be on on sale for Village Day, so please come by our stall to say hello and get your copy of the calendar.
As always, Lindfield Bonfire Society wish to say a really big thank you to all the sponsors of next years Calendar for supporting us-, and making it possible to bring this to you. Please show your appreciation by supporting Lindfield Life, Lindfield Motors, Mark Revill & Co, Green & Pleasant Services, Sarah Lacey Drycleaning, Alter Ego, Glyn Thomas & Son, Artisan Shepherds Huts and Rok Skool.
We must also give special thank to Glynis, Sarah, Mark and the Mid-Sussex Times (Steve Robard) for allowing us to use their photos in the 2014 calendar, without which the walls of Sussex would be a duller place!
Preparations are well under way for the Bonfire Society stall for Lindfield Village Day. We will be out on the Common with our brica brac, books, china smash and ‘Angry Birds’ children’s game.
We will also be selling our ‘I Love Lindfield‘ mugs at £6 each, and expect to have (fresh from the printers) our 2014 Lindfield Village Calendar, also at £6. Don’t forget all money raised will help us to put on a fine display of fireworks on the 5th November.
Away from the Common we will be in the procession round the Village, which starts at 1 o’clock, and we are expecting some very special guests making an appearence!
Lindfield Village Day is a week Saturday (1st June) and we need all of you dressed as pirates, (or in stripes if you don’t like dressing up!) to join in the procession
We’ll be meeting at 12.45pm at the entrance to The Welkin. Anyone wanting to help run the bric a brac, books stall, china smash and ‘Angry Birds’ game are also welcome. There will be someone on the Common from 9am.
We should also hope to have some special guests, so don’t forget your camera!
Want to know who’s who in the Society? Well, look no further than our Lindfield Bonfire Society Committee page to see everything from who our President is, our current Patrons, the LBS Committee, the Bonfire Captains and the other posts in the Society.
Remember, remember the 5th November….!
We do, and this years Bonfire Night will be on Tuesday 5th November (and don’t believe anything you hear to the contrary!). As with previous years, we expect to hold our fancy dress competition at the King Edward Hall, followed by a torch light procession around Lindfield. This will be followed by the reading of the Bonfire Pray and lighting of the bonfire before ending the evening with our grand firework display.
We all look forward to seeing you there.
