The Bonfire Prayer

Not long now. The Fancy dress starts at 6.30 and the Procession at 7.30. At 8.15 we will be reading the Bonfire Prayer ahead of lighting our Bonfire, so sing out loud…

Remember remember, the Fifth of November
The Gunpowder, Treason and Plot
We know no reason why Gunpowder, Treason should ever be forgot
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, ’twas his intent
To blow up King and Parliament
With three score barrels of powder below
Poor old England, to overthrow
By God’s providence he was catch’d
With a dark lantern and burning match
Holler boys, Holler boys, ring boys ring
Holler boys, holler boys God save the King
What shall we do with him boys?
Shall we hang him?……..NO!
Shall we drown him?…….NO!
Shall we burn him?……..YES!

Then at 8.30 approx the fireworks commence!!!

About Our Event

You will not be surprised to know that we will be very busy on the 4th and 5th November setting up our Bonfire Night Celebration, therefore we will be unable to answer individual email queries or phone calls about our Night during this time. However you will find full details of our Bonfire Night Event in our This Year’s Event page, and a quick summary of our event is detailed below:
