Lindfield Bonfire 2018 Thankyou

Lindfield Bonfire Society wishes to say a massive thankyou to everyone who attended our Bonfire Night on the 5th November. We were thrilled to be joined by Burgess Hill, Chailey, Littlehampton, Seaford, and South Heighton Bonfire Societies, along with Burgess Hill Marching Youth and the 1st Lindfield Scouts.
The weather throughout the day and evening was ideal and has undoubtedly contributed to a good turnout by the public for our procession and grand fireworks display, which we hope will be reflected in our collection on the night for our supported children’s charities, which this year are:
The Cleft Lip And Pallate Association, Court Meadow RDA, Orchard House, Chestnut Tree House and Kangaroos
There are a lot of people and organizations that help make Lindfield’s Bonfire Night happen, and the LBS Committee thank all who’ve helped, in particular:
Sussex Police, Haywards Heath Fire & Rescue Service, Mid Sussex District Council, Lindfield Parish Council, SERCO, Event Medic Services The Rotary Club, Court Meadow RDA, Kangaroos, 6- 10 Traffic Management, Sussex 4×4 Response, Etc. Fire Services, Lindfield Arts Studio, Comber Trust, Cottenham’s of Lindfield, The Bent Arms, The Stand-Up Inn, Haywards Heath Homecare, Burgess Hill Marching Youth Band, Chailey Bonfire Society, Burgess Hill Bonfire Society, South Heighton Bonfire Society, Littlehampton Bonfire Society, Seaford Bonfire Society, The pyro teams of Lindfield & Chailey
Bonfire Societies, Aurora Fireworks, our Tail End Charlie team, all our volunteers and marshall, those who provided support before during and after our event …and of course the Lindfield Bonfire Boys and Girls!

Lindfield Bonfire Test Firing 5/11/2018 at 3pm

If you intend to be on Lindfield Common on Monday afternoon, please be aware that there will be a test firing of a firework at 3.00 p.m. The test firing is required to allow our pyro team to assess wind speed and direction in preparation for our evening firework display and so ensure the display is safe and enjoyable for those attending .

If you are a dog owner, or know some one who is likely to be walking their dog around the Common during the afternoon of the 5th November please let them know there will be a test firing.

Please accept our thanks for your help in spreading the word!

P.S. We’ll be using something much smaller than in the picture!
