Our next LBS Committee meeting is Thursday 19th December, 8pm-9pm at the King Edward Hall. Anyone interested in what we’re planning, has fund raising suggestions, or just wishes to get involved or help is welcome to come along.

Bonfire Night is finally here! I’m sure you’ll appreciate this is a busy day for us so we will be unable to answer individual email queries about our night, but all the details you should need can be found in our This Years Bonfire page & we will keep our Facebook page updated as to what is happening.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable Bonfire Night wherever you chose to spend it!
The money raised from our street collection on the night is in aid of local children’s charities: Chestnut Tree House, Court Meadow Riding for the Disabled, Cleft Lip & Palate Association (C.L.A.P.A.), Kangaroos and Orchard House.
If you enjoy our night on the 5th, please show your appreciation by digging deep into your pockets and donating into the collecting buckets that will be out and about before, during and after our event which are collecting in aid of these charities .
If you intend to be on Lindfield Common on Tuesday afternoon, please be aware that there will be conducting three separate firework test firings during the day and evening. These are scheduled to take place at 3p.m., 5p.m. and again at 7p.m. These are needed to allow our pyro team to assess wind speed and direction in preparation for our evening firework display and so ensure the display is safe and enjoyable for those attending .
If you are a dog owner, or know some one who is likely to be walking their dog around the Common during the afternoon and early evening of the 5th November please let them know about the time of these test firings.
Please accept our thanks for your help in spreading the word!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION for 5th November from Lindfield Bonfire Society
Due to wet weather contingency and in an effort to save some damage to the common we have revised our procession route this year. We will form up and start further up the road than normal, this will be outside the COOP. We will pass the pond ONCE ONLY and continue on our usual route until we come back down the High Street. The band will go on to the pond and play but the main procession will divert onto the Lewes Road and enter the common at the main vehicle access gate. This is a shorter route to the fire site on the grass for the Guy, members of LBS and members of visiting societies. This will hopefully save damage to the grass at some of the pinch points on the common. Have a safe and enjoyable night, please donate to us and our charity collection and please …No Sparklers. Thank You, Mike……… Lindfield Bonfire Society.
