Lindfield Village Day is a week Saturday (1st June) and we need all of you dressed as pirates, (or in stripes if you don’t like dressing up!) to join in the procession
We’ll be meeting at 12.45pm at the entrance to The Welkin. Anyone wanting to help run the bric a brac, books stall, china smash and ‘Angry Birds’ game are also welcome. There will be someone on the Common from 9am.
We should also hope to have some special guests, so don’t forget your camera!

It may only be January, but already we are planning ahead for what will happen this year. I can confirm that we at Lindfield Bonfire Society intend to hold our Bonfire Event this year on November 5th (I’m sure that’s no surprise to you). To allow us to do this we must continue fundraising throughout the year.
First on the list will be our 2014 Lindfield Village Calendar. Are you or your business able to sponsor a month, put forward a photograph for inclusion or wish to stock the calendar? If so, please get in touch and let us know. Our deadline for sponsorship and artwork is the 1st March 2013, if you wish to get involved now is the time to let us know.
We are also planning a number of other fund raising events in the Village in the coming months as well as hopefully being involved in the Lindfield Arts Festival and Village Day, so please keep an eye on our website for updates on what is happening.
Don’t forget that without your support we cannot make Bonfire Night happen, so please help us by joining our Society and support our fundraising activities!
Its late night Christmas shopping in Lindfield this coming Tuesday 4th December. We will have our tombola running and also our ‘Angry Birds’ throwing game, both of which we will be in the High Street outside the Stand Up Inn.
Also, the rumour mill has it, that we may be having a special guest helping out that night!
The road will close at 5.30pm and activities in the High Street commence from 6pm and end at 9pm. Please come along and support late night shopping in Lindfield.

The Lindfield Village Calendar is now out for sale in the shops at a price of £6.
This 13 page 150 x 420mm calendar features 12 new picturesque views Lindfield and comes with an envelope for postage. It makes a useful addition to any home and, for those already thinking of Christmas, it also makes a great gift.

A big thank you to all of you who have helped over the past few weeks in our preparations for Village Day and the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Your efforts are very much appreciated and will help make the 2nd June a fantastic day.
We still need members to help on the day with setting up, running and taking down the stall, the procession round the village and with the evenings Jubilee fireworks including bucket collecting!

Lindfield Village Day and the Jubilee firework display is just over a week away! We need as many Society members as possible to help us during the day of the 2nd June.
Could you help work on the stall during the day or assist with setting it up or taking it down, even for just an hour? If so please get in touch with us.
We also need help on the night to marshall the firework arena and to collect money for the Society. The fireworks will start about 10.30pm so we need marshalls and collectors to be on the ground by 10pm at the latest.
The 2013 Calendar is being prepared now, and we still have some advertising slots available to local businesses who wish to support the Lindfield Bonfire Society. The calendar will be on sale at Village Day, in participating shops and at other events throughout the year.
